Drake Expands Habibti (FOMO) With a Deluxe Edition Built for the After Hours
Just when you thought Drake was finished adding fuel to the fire, OVO’s resident night-shift supervisor clocks back in.
Drake returns with Habibti (FOMO): The Deluxe Edition, expanding the project with four additional records previewed during the FOMO short film and livestream. And instead of treating the deluxe like a folder of leftovers, Drake uses the new material to push deeper into the project’s nocturnal, international atmosphere.
The additions include “Solar Eclipse” featuring Don Toliver, “Québec,” “Cold Shoulder” featuring Don Toliver and Yebba, and “Classic Pt. 2.”
Don Toliver feels almost genetically engineered for this territory. His floating melodies fit naturally inside Drake’s late-night universe, while Yebba brings the kind of emotional weight that can turn a simple record into something considerably more cinematic.
But the bigger picture is classic Drake.
Nearly two decades into his run, he continues treating genre and geography like suggestions rather than borders. Toronto, Houston, London, Lagos, the Caribbean, the Middle East — eventually it all finds its way into the same musical passport.
Habibti (FOMO) even sounds like the title of a text you probably shouldn't send after 2 A.M.
Four new records.
More atmosphere.
More FOMO.
Drake knows exactly what he’s doing.
